Family History: Daniel Creevey was a milkman. Martha was a receptionist in a doctor's office in London. Both were nearly as thrilled as Colin when they found out their oldest son was a wizard, and that magic was real. They both died in the April 17, 1999 attacks on Muggles in Lodon.

That was Colin's last year at Hogwarts. Custody was given to an elderly great aunt in Wales. That was a technicality, though. She didn't bother to pull them out of school, and by the end of the year Colin was legal. He was given half of what little money his parents had left them and got a job at the Ministry of Magic, in the Department of Misuse of Muggle Items. (Actually he got two - he does some freelance photography because he likes it - and it supplements his income from the Ministry of Magic. Plus, it could be useful for the Order, right?)

He was in Dumbledore's Army, is a member of the Order, and what he lacks in size and magical skill he makes up for in sheer, bloody minded, courage and determination. He's actually pretty pissed off about the whole Death-Eater's killed my mommy and daddy, muggles are scum thing.

And, he takes care of Dennis who is in his last year at Hogwarts. All right Dennis is in Hogwarts he need much looking after, but Colin tries, anyway.
