Hrm. Heads up. I am getting my wisdom teeth out on Monday, so I'm not sure exactly what that'll mean for my brain when it comes to RPing. No telling if I'll be drugged out for a week, or fine and dandy, albeit sipping chicken broth, within 24 hours. If I disappear entirely for a week, this would be why. For anyone who celebrates holidays next week, have a happy/merry/rather spiffy holiday of choice.

I will likely be around all weekend still, if anyone wants to play and will forgive me if it ends up getting paused come teeth out. We're due 6-10 inches of snow tomorrow. I am so not going anywhere.

Dangerous Wands

Brain is full and to-do list is overloaded.

Iconwise, I've finished up icons from Make It or Break It episode 2, but I'm not posting them until I've also iconned episodes 3, 4, & 5. However, I'm using Josie Loren as a pb for a character I'm apping, PLUS I need the rest of the Nico Tortorella icons from episode 3 done for Nate, so I'm trying to push forward on these quickly. Also, still working on iconning HBP for everyone not Draco, AND I'm going to finish iconning Behind the Magic for the same.

I'm mid-app for Liliana (for Mulligan), and knowing adds are done on Saturday means I don't HAVE to burn through it right this second. She's bubbling away in the back of my mind and I have a fairly solid view of her. Knowing her PB really helps in this case, because Josie Loren's expression are soooo fluid. So it's obvious that Lili wears her emotions right there in full view no matter what she's thinking or feeling. No filter between thought and face.

In PSL ramblings, Neville's very o.O about life right now, and really, that's all he can say, although flushing NEON seems to go with the expression. And perhaps a huuuuge grin. And the PSL!Draco has just made it over one massive hurdle only to slam right into the next one without managing anything like a graceful leap. I like him for the fact that he's old enough (21) that he's figured out who he is in private, but has yet to let the public discover him. He changes personality depending on where he is, and that's a factor that has leaked into Mulligan!Draco as well, although it's still very undefined there.

Oh, Mulligan, how do I adore thee? I'm having a wonderful time there. Nate's alternating between bubbly and upset about Colin's death and how hurt all of his friends are. He's thinking he kind of needs to meet some nice bent guys and stop crushing on the OMFGADORABLE (but straight) Gryffindor blokes. Which doesn't actually stop him from doing so. He's like a puppy. If he had a tail, he'd wag it.

Then there is Draco, who I just... gods, I adore him in ways like I adore Marcus. Or Adrian. I love me my complicated Slytherin blokes, I guess, who I have to come up with the reasoning why they did things and figure out their psychology. And Draco's best fun is that HE is trying to figure himself out, and he has no idea who he is. I just keep putting him in situations that he detests and he has a lovely time getting himself out of them. Currently he is BEYOND peeved at me, between enforced outings with Muggleborn girls, and an upcoming trip to Azkaban. I chortle with delight.

And WTWB. Mmmm. *purrs delightedly* The voices are stirring again, and I'm in bliss over this because I have missed them so very much. I have to figure out some things for Marcus that are going on over the break, and he has to pull off a happy Christmas for himself, Ro, and Mabel. It will involve several things that are knitted because he has had to relieve stress somehow... work only gets him so far. Pansy has been worrying and snapping at everyone and will continue to do so until Neville (THAT IDIOT) returns from Lancaster without getting his arse killed. Then he can bloody well have his school/orphanage BACK and she'll go home and ignore him for being an idiot right up until she invites him and the children over for Christmas. And gives him decent boots since his fell apart months ago, and he's still wearing them. Someday Pansy and Neville will figure out what's going on and I swear, neither of them is going to actually believe it. Lavender, of course, is the most settled of my characters there. She has Bill, she has MATE, what else does she need?

Enough rambling, and back to work for me. Suffice to say, gaming is glee, and y'all are wishing I'd been less long-winded.

My muses have all been a little quiet lately, except this one right here - so I'm hoping that, by getting him involved somewhere, he might get me to write more and therefore encourage my other muses to talk some as well.

As it is, here is Richard Knight - but he voluntarily goes by Dick. He much prefers it that way. Anyone who's a Batman fan will probably be going "HMM" and I'll just come out and admit that, yes, this is basically a non-Gotham version of Dick Grayson.

His adopted father is a millionaire so Dick's well off, supported by a trust fund in case all else goes wrong. He's a gymnast and an acrobat and a martial artist, and loves doing any kind of performance that involves a show of some sort that uses one or more of the above. He also teaches and trains at the local dojo. He's also a completely social person - loves people of all sorts and loves doing things with people of all kinds. I'm sure no one is surprised that he's bi omni-sexual and a switch.

He's relatively new in Boulder, though he's all sponsored into the club thanks to his dad's connections, and is very much looking forward to playing with all your muses. He's probably had a bit of time to get to know a couple of people in Boulder at least so...any takers? Pretty please?

Physical description: Giuseppe has dark brown hair, blue eyes, and is about 5'11. He has dark skin, tends towards a 5 o'clock shadow. A pronounced chin, thin lips, and a large nose.
Character traits: Giuseppe is stubborn, ambitious, determined and ruthless. Despite this, he has a code of honor that restricts him from taking any action against women or children. All his fights are man to man, man against man. Women and children are sacrosanct.
Family: Giuseppe's widowed. His wife died birthing their fifth child. His mother is mostly raising his two surviving children.
Occupation: Mob boss, nominal business owner of an antique store
Brief history: Giuseppe was born in New York. Technically, he was born on Ellis Island, since the Doctors kept his mother there at the hospital until he was born. His family lived in New York until Giuseppe was 8 when they moved to Chicago. Giuseppe got a sixth grade eduction before dropping out at 12 when his father died to help support his mother an little brother. He worked at various places before getting a job running for a local gang leader; messages, information. He slowly worked his way up, marrying at 17 and being a made man at 19. He got an antique store when he was 25, a nice cover for his business as an underboss by now. His wife, Eliana didn't get to appreciate it for very long before she died when he was 26, leaving him with 2 children. His mother was already living with them, but she took over most of the child rearing. In 1926 the boss he'd worked for since he was 12 died and his son took over.

Giuseppe thinks the son is a moron and more than that, dangerous. He's carving out his own territory from a dozen different gangs, sure he could handle it better. He's trying to take over and funnily enough, he's doing a good job.

So you've probably already seen her in play but I really should introduce the wonderful adoraklutz Bella. Yes, from Twilight, but she's here for everybody to poke fun at, thank you. She's the only one of my pups never hanging out in my head 'cause too many in there would beat her up. Woops.

Lis here - this one is Mel's fault. Meet Ushas, aka the Rani. Koschei (both of him) has been whining in my head for ages about how much he misses her. Clearly that's the crazy talking, but as we know, he's insistent. Look out for mutant rats in the near future.

Hello, all! This is Jen and despite my regular protests, saying I won't take on more characters, this chap rather snuck up on me and settled in before I could tell him to sod off. His name's Rupert, he was born in Manchester but raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and he's a big gay foppish sub who divides his time between playing in his band, working in Wreck-Chords record store and partying. He's lived in Boulder for about six/seven years, after moving here at the age of 19 with his then boyfriend. I'm going to make him new to the club, if someone would like to volunteer to be his sponsor! Also, I'd be up for playing with any and all of you lovelies, so throw ideas my way!

Somehow, I'm sure I can make this Vae's fault. Well, first it's Alessandra Torresani's fault, then it's Vae's fault, and now here's Alex.

Alex has THE best style in Boulder, and if you want a piece of it her store's open Monday to Saturday. She can't guarantee you'll make it work as well as she does, but then again that's pretty hard to pull off. She'll definitely make you entirely hotter than you were coming in, though. She's really friendly, despite thinking oh so highly of herself. She loves to dance and party but will only join snuggle piles if she's sure they won't mess up the way she looks.

She's a tiny thing who barely looks 18 but is in fact 24, she's always been a spoiled brat, she's a sub who's mostly straight but will happily scene with men and women both. She's into roleplays A LOT and she's been around for two years.

Please to be giving her friends/acquaintances/scening partners/enemies/history, in general, with your pups?

Hi guys!

I have not been around too much for the last few weeks because, after the whole whirlwind around Europe, getting back has involved a lot of trying to resettle and get things to do with Europe sorted out. And it has eaten up all my time. The jetlag's also pushed some buttons or something because I'm mentally all over the place.

That being said, I'm headed off to the beach with some people for the weekend, which will hopefully help with knocking my head back from wherever it is and settling me back down some more. When I get back, I will get right back to posting and tagging as usual. Sorry that I've been so terribly slow with everything, guys, and thanks for bearing with me.

I'm almost done with my 2009 music mix. These are the songs that somehow impacted me this year, whether they were released this year or took on new significance. Many of them were on gaming soundtracks for heart characters and may not mean anything to anyone but me. But every single one of them is something that I felt needed to be on the mix that talks about my year. I'd been waiting for the new We the Kings CD to come out before I finalized it, and then last night I had another inspiration that helped me figure out what else needed to be there. Now if I can only remember the very last song that my brain supplied this morning when I was barely awake, all I'll need to do is set the order and I'll be done.

That said, if anybody would like to receive a copy of this CD in the mail, please leave your address in the (screened!) comments below, or drop a comment here and send me an email (tryslora on gmail, of course) with your address. But commenting here is critical because otherwise I'll lose track of who I need to send to!

The only catch? Promise me to just once, at LEAST once, listen to it all the way through without looking at who the songs are by. Close your eyes and enjoy the music, then go back and judge by the artist. After the CDs are sent, I will get around to writing something up with the song lists and some attempt at explaining WHY each one hit the list.

So, my mail today was - I had almost forgotten I'd ordered it - the Storm Front graphic novel. Which I leafed through right in the post office and then grinned for a while because, apparently, it was made worthy for me just for the picture of Karrin Murphy facepalming. I'm so scanning that and turning it into an icon. Or asking somebody else to. :-P

Also, I finally decided to just go out and give myself a treat for completing NaNo. The result is one hat and three pairs of gloves/mittens. One of which (black simple mittens) I'm even wearing right now. I guess I'm humoring one muse, because I'm furious about another. Or something like that.

Also, my attention span/ability today is ridiculously shot to the ground.
